Welcome, welcome! This is the beginning of the Literature Roadtrip Interview Week, and I hope it will introduce you all to a wonderful group of deviants, as well as prepare you for the five day Literature Roadtrip from January 10th to January 14th.

I would like to introduce you all to the fantastic WeirdAndLovely. Her work is seriously amazing, you will not be disappointed when you search through her gallery. I urge you all to choose one of her pieces and give it a comment. Perhaps add a couple to your favourites. Or add her to your watch. You will not be disappointed, I can assure you.

What Is SweetSweet is
Chocolate melting on your tongue
But it's also getting
Exactly what you want for Christmas.
Sweet is
Home when you feel lost
And a hug
From a long lost friend
Sweet is
An exclamation found on
Elementary school playgrounds
When it has rained and the worms are out.
Sweet is
Rare moments of brilliance
Found in some place unexpected,
Wisdom that stays with you.
Sweet is
Laughter of the genuine sort
An audible sign of a good time,
Good family, friends and fun.
Sweet is
Officially dating someone, publicly
Not having to hide anymore
And a massive weight off shoulders.
Sweet is
Tarts, and other baked goodies
Enticing an entire family
To come together into one room.
Sweet is
Telling stories of loved ones (or for them)
Reminding people of the past,
It's values, humor and lessons.
Sweet is
Egotistically, this poem.
The NecklaceCliché Hallmark cards
Always start the waterworks.
Even at crowded restaurants.
To know.... it's a piece,
Of my Mommy Jean
Shaking, beaming, crying
As that slim white gold clasp
click... for the first time.
A feather's weight
Instantly at home on my collarbone.
***Fast-forward***

Hiccup-sobbing
Slit-eyes red and swollen
That pendant-spot between my breasts
Scratched and red
From shaking hands,
Grasping for anything to ground me.
Tremblingly closing that slim white gold clasp
click echoing with tears
***Fast-forward***
Heaving my duffel up my steps
And down the hallway,
To my last door on the right
Dropping it and a gasp
Hands immediately undoing
the circular clasp at my neck
Frantically grabbing the chain on my dresser
Breathing slowing as the heavier chain,
But lighter pendant comes to a rest
click and my breathing becomes regular
Sighing as I flop into bed.    Home.
***Fast-forward***
Sighing nervously,
Self-co
UntitledOnly two words needed: I'm broken.

What is your favourite part of the literature community?
All the wonderful writing! Giggle I love how supportive we are to each other. I think it’s great that people have developed huge support systems, simply by sharing their writings. I LOVE the friends I’ve met, through my presence on this site.chromeantennaelostmymind193carletto47Joe-Maccer999inthedark,CupofCharlieAeroModo gingersnapsithaswhatitisntkillerlord123, and @pfgoldfish. I’ve actually been in a really social mood, so feel free to note me, I want to meet more people on dA and talk poetry, sports, emotions, love… anything really…. Sweating a little...

How would you encourage other deviants to get involved in the literature community?
Um….. Well, don’t do it how I did. It’s really all chromeantennae’s fault. He just kinda… pulled me in. I really don’t know how he did it, but all the sudden I’m helping gingersnaps judge a contest, suggesting DLD’s and DD’s and submitting entries to contests in groups. Thing is, I hadn’t really wanted to get involved, but I did anyway, and I’m honestly loving it. I think my encouragement would be to notbe afraid to talk to people you feel are “bigshots” in the Lit community. The ones I’ve met are incredibly friendly and really are willing to help. They can happily connect you with people who’s styles and tastes are similar. They also won’t make fun of you for not knowing something that it seems like everyone knows, and they usually know the answer, or someone who does. :) (Smile) Really. They don’t bite. Especially DorianHarper. He’s really a sweetie. Blush

Which deviants do you think deserve more attention?
Oh, lord…. br0kenbutterflies and Sydnut. Both are wonderful writers, in their dark(er) ways. They can write some beautiful pieces, and I don’t know about other people who watch them, but I love seeing the little light at the end of the tunnel for most of their works. I think both of them really want to get better, and this is their first step in doing so.

Internet SisterhoodYou've quickly become so important to me.
Sharing the parts of our souls
We keep locked away, from the world
Actually- the known world.
Taking solace in strangers
Because then it's different.
They're automatically supportive,
Without needing to know details.
Unless we decide to share.
I think-hope.
I feel a special bond with you
Just sharing this one little thing,
You seem to just.... relax around me
No words need spoken.
But I sense your wall is down.
And I'm so thankful we found each other.
Thank G-d for old French hypochondriacs.
Is It a Runaway? He wants his first,
To be his last.
A one and done kinda thing.
No hearbreak, tears or anger.
This, that, an' the third.
He sleeps to one side
As if he's keeping her spot
Because she's running late
He wants those words
Three.  Simple.  Words
To set his heart racing,
Make it swell and flutter
And bring the most handsome smile
To his face.
So what I'm wondering...
Is if he's pulled a pick six on my heart,
And he's about to win the game...
Is it still possible he could lose?
